  5. This program is not free, even if someone else describes it as public
  6. domain, freeware, shareware, or whatever. For rules governing copying,
  7. or keeping for more than a week read the following.

  9. i)   You may keep this program for a trial period of one week (7 days) 
  10.      without registering. If you wish to keep this program for more than
  11.      7 days then you must register by following the instructions below.
  12.      If you do not register after this 7 day period then you must delete
  13.      all copies of this program in your possession.

  15. ii)  Individual people may copy this program, unchanged and complete,
  16.      and give to friends.
  17.      This is limited to one copy per day, which therefore excludes
  18.      companies, pd libraries, magazines, bbs, disk magazines.

  20. iii) Free access bulletin boards, ftp sites (eg uts.mcc.ac.uk), and
  21.      email servers may store this program without registration.
  22.      However, a letter/postcard saying where the program has got to
  23.      would be nice.

  26.      they may charge a sum of no more than £2.50 for any product that
  27.      this program is distributed with. This excludes the dubious
  28.      practice of packaging pd software with a new computer as a sweetener

  42. Ok so you have read this far. You are half considering the idea of
  43. registering... Well the cost of registering this program is one (1)
  44. three and a half inch disk. Is that fair? I think so. Now that isn't
  45. much at all, so even if you are an unemployed graduate then you can
  46. still afford it.
  47.  
  48. What do you get for registering? Well you get to keep my program
  49. legally. You get my undying thanks. And you then have a license
  50. for all future versions of this program. (There will only be new
  51. versions if you have good suggestions though). If you send another
  52. disk with a strong (jiffy) envelope and postage then I will
  53. send you back my pd catalogue and some other software. Who knows,
  54. maybe I will have written something brilliant by then.
  55.  
  56. Please send me on the disk some public domain (or shareware) software
  57. or clip art. (note clip art and fonts, and all other software is only
  58. copyable if it is accompanied by a notice from the author saying that
  59. it is). This last paragraph is just a request though, and does not form
  60. part of the registration.
